DESCRIPTION:Join us with guest presenter Holly Fisher talking about inclusion and Allyship: 2SLGBTQIA+. For the 2SLGBTQIA+ community\, allyship is important in every part of their lives\, and work is no different. Allies can make a person feel welcome and understood and learning what it means to be an effective ally is the first step in making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. This presentation aims to educate and give space for open conversation with no judgment. \nHolly is originally from Halifax\, Nova Scotia and completed a Masters’ in Agriculture at the Dalhousie’s Faculty of Agriculture in 2021\, which focused on the use of cricket meal in the diets of poultry. With a passion for agriculture\, Holly has been working for Farm Credit Canada for the past three years and is excited to continue learning about agriculture \nHolly is an active member of the Truro\, Nova Scotia community\, working with Ally: How an educational speaker series teaching organizations in Nova Scotia how to be effective allies to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Holly has organized the Truro Pride Parade for the past six years and was a co-founder of the Truro Pride Society. \nRegister Here!
