NSIA Webinar 3: Practical Applications of Agriculture Technologies for Research and Farming with Thomas Harrington

Join Thomas Harrington, Perennia’s Agriculture Technology Specialist to learn about real-world applications for ag-tech in Nova Scotia. Thomas will speak about his work at Perennia coordinating the installation of a new on-farm weather station network and using drones as a tool for crop production and research.
Thomas Harrington, BSc (Agr.), CCA, is the Agriculture Technology Specialist at Perennia. Thomas’ role at Perennia is to support and promote the adoption of agricultural technologies related to climate and crop management. Thomas has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from Dalhousie’s Faculty of Agriculture, where he majored in Integrated Environmental Management. After graduating, Thomas worked in wild blueberry production and research in Nova Scotia. Before joining Perennia, Thomas worked on Prince Edward Island in precision agriculture product sales and support, focusing on machine GPS guidance systems and data management. Thomas is also a Certified Crop Advisor and has experience working with UAVs to collect crop imagery.
