List of Nutrient Management Planners in NS

The purpose of a Nutrient Management Plan (NMP) is to ensure there is an adequate supply of nutrients for crop production, to efficiently use manure and other organic sources of nutrient as a plant nutrient source, to minimize agricultural non-point source pollution of surface and groundwater and to help improve the overall quality of the soil.

NMP’s must undergo training, as well as be mentored until they reach certification.
