NSIA Semi-Annual Meeting Update

The NSIA Semi-Annual Meeting, originally scheduled for November 14, 2023, from 1:30PM-4:00PM at the Inn on Prince in Truro, is being moved online.

This meeting will now occur via Zoom, and consist of a brief NSIA update from President Ross MacNeil, followed by three graduate student presentations of their research. There will be no business meeting held at this session.

The new schedule of the November 14th meeting is as follows:

1:30PM – Welcome and NSIA Update

1:45PM – Dalhousie University Faculty of Agriculture Student Presentations:

  • Patrick Hennessy
  • Georgia Lewis

UPDATE -Invitation to Consultation Sessions

The Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture rescheduled their consultation sessions that were cancelled due to Hurricane Fiona. Before they begin developing programs under the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership agreement, they would like to hear from you. On October 24th, 25th and 27th, the department will discuss federal-provincial program supports for agriculture that will begin in 2023.
